I would agree. I have a feeling Ben is going to podium and do it early. And very possibly often. Kick ass, Ben! Tear it up! Can't wait for the start of the season.
Are you talking about winning a race or top 3 by Silverstone? Top 3 I'm betting WAY before that race. Winning, not sure, but its going to be interesting. I'll bet there are going to be a lot of people keeping a very close eye on him.
Many would say that's "far fetched" but you know what, I'll go in on that with you. The guy never ceases to amaze me with his ability. I too, will call a front row start at Qatar.
Damn, simoncelli high sided already, hope no damage was done to the engine, Spies times are still dropping
Simo from yesterday. I think I should start an accessories company called "Cornering Low". You lot carry on. I need some sleep... -jim
No worries on the engine. They don't have to seal them until the first race. Now is the the time to seriously test with no repercussions or penalties. See what the "reduced performance" (and I use that term quite loosely) engines are capable of. It's neck-wringing time.... -jim
What are they allowed to change on an engine what's it's sealed? Are they at least allowed to change the fluids?
"For 2010, each rider will have 6 engines to last the entire 18 race season. The engines will be sealed, and Dorna will be able to monitor remotely which engines are being used as the riders exit the pit lane." Yes, they'll be able to change the fluids. If my understanding of the rule is correct, they aren't allowed to change any hard component within the engine due to failure or for a performance increase. They have to build their 6 engines prior to the season, not alter them in any way, hence the "sealed" term, and if they go through all of them, that's it, no more racing.
