And it makes me want to do a one and a half into the crystal blue water, as long as it's 16 feet deep

 

Back around the 90's, I remember the AMA ran races in the rain at Daytona, but only the treaded tire classes. BOTT race was started, then stopped due to rain. They ran other classes in between, then concluded the race about three hours later.
CCS ran the endurance race in the rain I believe in 1989, but stopped when Roger Edmundson hydroplaned the pace car off the track.

 

Judging by the angles, I'm guessing that she's been hoisted up on a bosun's chair. Still a cool picture.

 

I'm sure he was a fun guy but you wouldn't want to hang with him.
