Kazuki Watanabe set to replace Joan Mir in Misano @jksoft https://www.motogp.com/en/news/2022/08/26/kazuki-watanabe-set-to-replace-joan-mir-in-misano/432820
Yep. I'm going to guess RB will throw a big send-off party for his favorite rider that did so well recently and brought a lot of money to his sponsors.
I know he did switch manufacturers and also had a year or two vacation, before his “Rossi like” swan song farewell tour. I actually haven’t paid attention, is he doing better or worse than Rossi did his last year?
Rossi finished with 44 points last year, Dovi has 11 right now. Dovi's per race average is lower. Also, Rossi was 42 yo, Dovi is 36 yo. At 36 yo, Rossi was second in the championship
Im just asking about the final year, I suspect no one will ever be allowed to stick around like Rossi did. I also suspect Dovi would be doing better if he had sucked it up a bit and stayed at Ducati. It appears only 1 man can currently ride the Yamaha. Just like Stoner at Ducati and Marquez at Honda, Quartararo is pretty amazing.
Nah man I ate my crow several races back. Hate to see him go, but glad he pulled the plug on his own terms. No sense in wasting the team, crew, other riders etc, time when you just stay out there doing parade laps to sell t-shirts and wigs. he will retire to do cool shit and spend lots of money.
I’m headed to Misano now to take my wife and daughter to their first GP. Landed in Germany and transiting to Bologna now. Planning to stop at the Ducati factory this afternoon then Tavullia on Friday. Staying in Cattolica for the weekend. Anyone else going to the race?

I think he will probably ride but that isn’t confirmed yet. They said he will travel there is all as of now.
Forsure but it does look bang on when that say “With the intention of riding” … you think he should?? I think its a bit premature tbh
