Sounds to me you made good solid parenting choices that benefited your kid and will continue to Rob. Good on you
Talked to a couple people in the paddock at COTA that said Estenson might by into or all of Wesby and be a satellite of Attack
I would agree. Other side is the loss of the racing experience, which cannot be replaced, IMO. Choices....
Happy to. I’m driving right now to Corona to pick up a tool so I have plenty of time. PM’d you my cell. Anyone can always call my company, I love talking about motorcycles, versus working!!!
That is true, in some weird ways I wish that same experience had been in karting/car racing or golf. Then maybe I could use that knowledge in the future. Lololol I do love bikes and have played less than 10 golf games in my life.
This ^^^^ Having watched alot of these young athletes in the series, I can say that nowadays, it's harder for them to make a good living once the racing gig runs it's course. It isn't like the old days where they quit at 29 or 30 with a few bucks to kick start their lives. Like everything in life, it's a trade off. My wife had a shot at the '96 olympic team in Canada, but it would have meant not going to college. She took a full ride to Ball State instead, played 4 years as a starter and left with a nursing degree. The girls who went to the olympics missed out on college. Not that 4 years of college is the solution to a happy life, but kids at that age are too immature to know what they want for the rest of their lives and at least back then it gave the most options.
Estenson also began supporting MX/SX Yamaha privateer Jerry Robin from MN this year, at some point. He finished 2nd behind Phil Nicoletti in last Saturday's Chicago SMX LCQ race, and 17th in the overall standings for the day.
Jerry Robin! Free tip, do not pick Jerry for fantasy. His finish percentage might be in the single digits.
Anyone else seen the forecast? I was thinking of going up to watch, but it looks like they will need monsoon tires for Saturday, so I think I will just stay home.
After seeing the forecast Rocko must be freaking out. If it rains in just one of his races the title chances are basically gone.
Forecast is bouncing around a bit. Off shore system that will come over a little bit. Forecast is for less rain than originally thought Saturday and starting later in the afternoon and then maybe a spritz Sunday. Don’t let a little rain scare you, come out and say hi! I’ll be there, Twins #138 (I know Dale knows me, but for any others, swing by and say hi!) and @BigBird needs to come out again too. I might need help with my exhaust! Lol…
