FYI, Richard on a podcast said if you don’t put down at least 220whp in Superbike, it’s not worth showing up. I’m assuming that’s a Dynojet figure, which are happy to actuality, but if it’s what everyone is using…
I wanna know how much the FTR and Pan Am are actually putting down in Superhooligans... I know what my Buell is dropping to the rear wheel, and I know what the power gap felt like at Daytona...
will be interesting to see if there are changes to the rules for next year in the hooligans. The 890 KTM"s are just out gunned by a large margin when competing with 1250 and whatever cc the Indian is. I know it's factory vs the little guys. No one likes to compete when they are clearly outgunned from the start. The Harley on paper and advertising is designed to compete with the big boy adventure bikes- the 1290ADV and 1300GS.
I expect they'll wait to see how the incoming 990s fare, and likely not do much of anything other than MAYBE drop the minimum weight a smidge if they're still off pace? Edit: So far I've been wrong on predicting MotoA rules though...
Looks like a bone stock bike, not even a ECU flash US bikes are restricted, also no pipe. Is that really a good comparison.
I thought that was kinda weak. My 03 750 made 135 on a conservative dyno with just a pipe and a tune.
Yea,I wish all Dyno's were the same. Some are very happy, and pat you on the back, while other's will say yo bike aint shit! I never had looked up stock HP on my 1k,until today.Livengood did a little to it,but I didn't need to know. It's always way more than I can twist it,and that's good enough for me. I would like to massage the 600 on one sometime soon, though
It is when the context is the comparison to a stock 750. Question - If stock 750 makes 121 and a pipe and flashed one makes 135 - if a MA spec one makes more than that, how does that fit in?
I guess it's hard to say, sounds like they are going to be rebalancing the bikes, and the 750 has some kinda electronic throttle kit.
Heard the grip was good with the new pavement but the bumps and especially in 12 were bad. Btw they are still about 7 tenths off of the best WSBK times from 2014. Also heard many think it will need a repave in 5 years or so
That is a shame. I thought I read somewhere they were using an experienced company, maybe granite construction?
I just saw a post by MotoAmerica showing Fongs crash at Laguna. It appears that his helmet chinbar was broken. Did I see that correctly? I broke the chinbar on a few dirt helmets in the past but I have never see that on a street helmet. https://www.facebook.com/share/r/t6dkaiJAsSYX4nt4/
Looked like it was a wrap that came off, not part of the actual helmet. You could see the original graphics from the helmet underneath.
With Ashton Yates winning his first race, how many other father/sons have won AMA pro roadraces? Yvonne and Miguel DuHamel KR, KRjr, Kurtis Reg and Jason Pridmore Any others? Pretty exclusive club.
