Mongo, VIR is NOT in Danville, Va

    Walnut Grove?...isn't that where the church & elementary school are about 1/2-way out to the track?...or Oak Mountain?

    Isn't Walnut Grove the home of the Waltons?

    The answer I was looking for is Chestnut Mountain (unincorporated).

    I believe what Rick is thinking of is Chestnut Mountain (what can I say, I pay attention to these things).


    I realize that VIR is not in Danville itself however what we use for the schedule are the addresses given to us by the track as their mailing address - Road A is in Braselton, VIR is in Danville etc... FWIW I did list AMS in Hampton and Roebling is listed in Faulkville rather than Savannah.

    I sometimes get mail here for Road Atlanta because the post office screwed up. Thier address is listed as being in Braselton.

    So why is the mailing address 5300 Winder Hwy. Braselton, GA.?

    According to TIW all site surveys and topographical maps say Braselton on them. She should know, she used to work there. [​IMG]

    The city/town of Winder is about 15 miles give or take to the East.

    "Hog Mountain"?...the town next to me is named "Clem"...that's gotta rank right up there with the best of them...we gotta "Tyrone" down here, too...we're informal folks, we just call people by their first names.
