If you're keeping things simple: can't beat a "jambon beurre" on a quality baguette. If you're going exotic: shawarma. With french fries inside. If you're getting chain food: tandoori chicken sandwich with sun-dried tomato spread from Cosi. I would let a man make love to me for one of those right now.
Shawarma, before it gets put on the upright doner (shawarma grill) from our family's restaurant. served (how i eat it)
Naturally I do julienne carrots, sliced cucumber and red onion (not totally sure that traditional, but sure is tasty) in a sweetened rice vinegar brine, reefer style. I'll add it to the KimChee post I'll send you this weekend. Good looking shawarma, BTW. Haven't had a good one of those since a hole-in-wall in Barcelona back in '01. Estrella Negra and a pita lamb sandwich. So much for tapas
Fresh made bread, coleslaw, fries, tomato, philly cheese steak OR pastrami. And yes I 100% believe it is amazing, not just because Im from pgh.
