That was a hotly debated topic during the initial product-planning phase. It does not come with a slipper clutch.

The reasoning is that with the auto-blip downshifts and how we can control engine braking with the ECU, a slipper wouldn’t be needed. That saved around $1000 on price.

Interesting to see how that plays out in the real world? We race a EVO with autoblip and a slipper and it hangs out sideways really nice when you want it to.

Just my 2 cents as a hoser north of the border (although relatively close to Joe in Fargo)... the brits in BSB regularly invite "celebrities/motojournalists" to guest ride bikes in certain series as a "one off" -- the BMW R cup last year, and now their National Sportbike Series:

If Kramer USA/MA did something like that (either US-based journalists (Kevin Duke, Rennie Scaysbrook, or even ask a UK journo to come over) it would really add some publicity to the program and MA. To date, older heavier fellas have no chance against fast kiddos, but it makes for good youtube. Could really promote the 350 class.

I realize the days of a 12 issue per year copy of "Sport Rider" showing up in my mailbox is long past...

Worst case scenario is that grampa wads it up in front of championship protagonists, but this hasn't happened in BSB classes yet because the guests qualify near/at the back and tip off all by themselves.

And late to the party, but there has to be a longer term commitment to these bikes -- there's a few 1 year old Aprilia RS250s Talent Cup bikes up here in Canada for sale for a fraction of what the dads paid, and NO ONE wants to buy them, even as trackday bikes. That can end a young rider's career pretty quickly when mom and pop are broke after 1 season and they need a new bike!

Rennie is great and has loads of videos already on Kramers on YT, Fillmore for a few rounds would be awesome for bike development/press/yard stick of how fast these kids really are...

Just not those 44 Teeth clowns please.

Also, as a fellow HNOTB (Hoser North Of The Border) I'd give up a week to volunteer my time if Wayne/Jensen wanna put a package together for me to do this at The Ridge round as it's my "home track" and I could likely stay on the lead lap there lol...

...caveat, we'd have to waive that pesky 16-21 age limit for all of us has/never-beens.

Auto-blip on an EVO2 is not factory recommended. You are living life 100, sir.

    I don’t hate the idea.

We plan on getting Rennie, Troy, Ari, et al on the bike during the winter to get some press going and also to get some feedback on our development.

I think his pilot has a lot to do with the bike being sideways

What brand brake disc are you running on the RC390 front wheel? I've only really seen motomaster as a full floating option.

    D’oh!

I totally forgot my fav track tester - racer - journo - Ari Henning who has always been a fan of the little bikes so this 350 should be right in his wheelhouse.

He did a similar stint with an R7 build last year I think which was cool to watch - be great to have him test then race this new platform.

Can confirm. His pilot has ridden my bike way more sideways than I ever will.

They were entertaining a few years ago but the same recycled juvenile schtick has just run it's course.

The "Anchorman" 70's news video's, the BBB's with inflatable blow up sex dolls, and the horrible voice overs in their video's to name a few...

I used to like when they'd go to JHS, do actual bike video's without a pre-teen premise behind it, and I also liked their racing video's on the 125 Suzuki, SV650, CF moto, etc... but now it's 90% style, 10% substance.

Apologies for the thread jack OP.

Moto-Master rotor on the front, and on the rear. Both are full-floating T-bar units. Front disc is 6mm thick.

Literally couldn't hear myself talk with the bikes going by. I hope it was somewhat coherent.

If anyone is at COTA this weekend, come by and check the APX-350 MA out in-person, and talk to our team. Our test rider from Germany will be doing exhibition laps on Saturday and Sunday, around lunch time. He has maybe 10 laps around the track, so don't expect blistering lap times, but it should be a good to show that even for a P1 prototype, the bike fairly far along.
