I’ve already done one PRS match.
Had a hell of a lot of fun and learned how bad I am. :)

I’ll touch base with you on pistol matches too. Just got a few things going on now like The Holidays.

Your back drop should contain/stop most pistol rounds. I would proceed with caution when shooting any rifle rounds into your back drop. Something to consider.
To be safe, double your railroad ties and place a mound of dirt in the front or behind the ties and that should be sufficient.

Angle the plate steel so that any ricochet goes to the ground. I.e. top in front of the rear sort of like a / forward slash.

    What's the downside?

The ones I do don’t involve much. Short sprints for 10-15 yards at most but some dudes just jog it. Depends on how serious you want to be about it. You can turn it into some cardio or just take it easy.

buy a mag tube extension and learn how to ghost load if you don’t already kn. That’s quickly moving up my list of needs. I’m losing a ton of time reloading that having just a couple more shells in the tube would remedy.

    AKA - quad loading

Its also depends if your participating with organization that tracks status such as USPSA or such. There are a few. This shyt can get quite serious.

Right on. I have about 1.5” of batter on the rear tie wall now.

it isnt much in a 4-5’ wall but its a little something.

Honestly, I haven't seen any dudes quad loading yet. Seen some double loads, but no quads. Our local club matches honestly don't seem to be super serious. More grassroots feel. That said, they're very well organized and exhibit some really good creativity with the stages. Resetting stages never takes more than 30-45 seconds. Stage run times take anywhere from 30-180 seconds. And they involve some great dynamic scenarios.

Yesterday, we had to climb in the back of a grand cherokee and engage 6 targets out the rear passenger window between ~110-275 yards. Dump rifle, climb out the rear hatch, grab shotgun, clear a spinner target, engage 6 clays. Dump shotgun, sprint to next location and finish with pistol on some flappers. That was probably my favorite stage but there were some other cool ones too.

Already got my extension tube from RX Arms. Just need to install it. Deciding if I want to get it refinished to OD green to match the rest of my M4.

Even with a can on the end of it, yeah, it's still loud. The slap sound coming off the opposing walls is probably the biggest contributor to the noise.

I've only actually taken a few shots from inside to get comfortable with killing a deer ... or fox, squirrel - whatever pisses me off enough to eat it.

Squirrels are the most angering thing out in the woods. How something so small can make so much racket is beyond me. I’m all for hunting and eating them :D

You don't need a safe. An old soda machine will do the trick.

    EPS or EPS Carry.

I have a 507k pattern, and love it cause it co witnesses (unlike the Deltapoint I had on the gun before.) However, I finally had a blocked emitter happen, so moving forward, I'm buying enclosed emitters.

    that's my 2 cents.
