I'd think most places would refund you the difference if you just brought in the receipt

Anyone have a p365xl spectre comp? Looking to trade my regular X in for one but not sure about the price.

I have a bunch of rubber made and Hefty clear plastic bins from Target/Walmart kinda places. Print labels for specific calibers and platforms and then some generic ones for the odd ball stuff. So one larger bin for ar15 mags/5.56, one for 308/SR25 mags, one for 6.8spc/AR mags, one for AICS, one for Glock, one for "other pistols", one for 10/22, one for "other 22lr", "other rifle", etc.

I bought some of those shipping labels from Office Depot and you download a Word Document template and fill in what you want, then print them out and stick them on the bins. I have probably 30-40 of the bins for a variety of stuff.

    AR mags are colored.
    Tan = 300blackout
Black with green tape on the bottom = 5.56/223.
FAL Mags are, well, FAL Mags. :D

Have a bunch of harbor freight closed cell foam, punched out for the various pistol mags.
    Each have their own case.
Canik (all flavors, as they inter-change)
    Sig-P229 (9mm)
    Sig-P320 (9mm)
    HK-USP (.40cal)
    MP5 (9mm)

Another option is to just get the barrel and slide ported on your X. More effective than the pseudo comp on the spectre and it'll only cost you about $175 through Mag-na-Port. They did my P365 XL and I'm happy with the results.

Got a gun show coming up I will be working. Is a Tavor worth having? I dont really care for the design, but everyone talks how great they are? Any other guns on the short list I should look towards?

I have the slide cut version but it's the original that deletes the rear sight with the RMR mounted. Definitely want to get the new version

Don't know about the tavor but unless your gun shows are way different than ours around here, I don't think that's where I'd look to buy anything lol.

I hear of great deals that were had at gun shows of old but I’ve only been to them post pandemic. All I’ve ever seen is ridiculously overpriced guns. They’ve been more about puppies, beef jerky, and fudge. The people watching has honestly been the best part.

What is a reasonable hourly rate for a good gunsmith? Searching.
Got a couple of WW2 rifles I would love refurbished for display only.

I'm guessing he is helping the store sell guns at a show, and they cut him good deals to help out. It's hard to find good help at shops these days, and find people that know what they are talking about, and about a wide variety of platforms. There are some good deals to be had within the industry from some companies. Some are still unobtanium or not much margins involved.

This is correct. He has the biggest and most up to date selection at the show. It’s not his main business and doesn’t make much on guns. Most cases is less the $100 profit per gun. He would sell 10 to 12 a day. I came and helped him once and the first show we sold 15 each day. He was blown away. Our best show was has been 25 one day and 24 the second. I’m out going and answer questions and give honest advice. We now have a bunch of repeat customers every show. I won’t accept his money for my work. I enjoy it and he has helped me out in the past. So I get to buy at his cost or I found out though his wife he will sell me some below his cost to just try and pay me back. So every show I come home with a couple or more. I just got a message from him last night. He’s ordering p90s with a vortex red dot and second mag for $1200. But I already have one. So I’m trying to figure out what I should get. I want a scar but not ready to drop that kind of coin yet.(still have racing to finish) lol.

Scar 17s are the shit. I literally chose to run a 3 gun match with mine, even though it put me at a disadvantage, just because it's so much fun. Do it.

Went to tractor supply and checked out the safes. Whenever that 26 gun Winchester goes on sale I’m gonna grab it .
