I was just looking at the sign-ups for the 200 and noticed there was a Triumph 765 signed up...I wonder if that's the new special Triumph is selling. If so it will be quite interesting to see how it does. Any news if the race will be televised?

I doubt it as the dates are all wrong.

 

Looks like the 765 is legal as the rules are up to 770cc 3 cyl. so maybe?

No idea, but the entry list is copy/paste from last year so Im assuming coverage is the same. It is amazing that we are 2weeks out and zero announcements about any coverage.

 

Herrin has stated he will not be racing, so not sure how good that list is.

 

He's probably still on the list because he didn't cancel / request a refund and / or the team / bike he was riding might have someone else riding it so they are keeping the entry in there. All assumptions...

 

As of tonight 9pm Eastern time, Herrin still hasn't returned Kevin Elliot's call to confirm his presence.

I was told this weekend during a Vegas race weekend by someone who was on Herrins team at Daytona in 2020 that he will not be racing in the Daytona this year. Stanbolli was going to allow it, but someone(s) else was the road block.

In fact, both the Triumphs listed for the 200 are mine. R. Hofman is running my '12.

Yes, the 765 is the Moto2 Daytona. I am also quite interested is what it can do. The electronics on the bike made Dyno tuning a issue. Took it to RRR only to have it rain all weekend.

So both Josh's are out apparently. Any word on Wyman? Still a lot of fast guys entered. Brandon Paasch ran well last time he raced there. Danny Eslick is entered. Does Barney have enough left in the tank? Andrew Lee is sure fast enough if the equipment is up to par.
