They area probably watching the mixed success of Homestead and the closed Walt Disney World Speedway.

 

But both of them have to pay taxes.

 

First half is open, although it looks like there is still plenty of work to do.

Looks like a lot of armco and concrete walls. At least in this configuration.

 

Do new track builders sit down at the table and go "you know what people hate... straightaways. let's not do any straights"?

Am I weird for liking a good straight into a fast turn or a hard braking zone?

 

That looks technical as fuck.

I think that's the "Club" configuration. And honestly, for a non-race track, that's the least imposing Armco I've seen for a while. Ozarks International and G2MP are my other points of reference. There's a few sketchy spots but generally the fast stuff has plenty of runoff / gravel trap. Air fences in a few spots for sure but not any worse than NCM or Road Atlanta IMO.

 

I foresee nothing but "follow the leader" track day sessions with that configuration.

That's a roller coaster! I can see this config being a fun track on a Hooligan bike.
