I was wondering the same. This job is 100% guaranteed everyone will hate you. So Freddie must have been doing something correctly.
Did he ever answer up to this: https://www.roadracingworld.com/new...-and-a-reader-cant-get-his-1200-deposit-back/ https://www.roadracingworld.com/new...spencer-honda-repos-bikes-instructors-unpaid/
I’ve never interacted with him and was completely indifferent until…. He started with the bullshit penalties for “racing” I do not agree whatsoever and hate the entire system… I think he made it way way worse and furthermore perhaps if crybaby bitches didn’t started complaining none of it would’ve started… I do not agree with dirty riding ever but think any issues of erratical riding and or mistakes or lessons that need to be learned can be handled best between riders on the track and or in private. We’ll know next year as Simon seems to be a very no nonsense very insightful former world class rider that is respected by the entire paddock. I hope he uses that to deal with riders in a way that will bring out the best in all for all.
Let me put it in a way that anyone following MotoGP can understand: he got Johann Zarco and Aleix Espargaro to agree that he was doing a poor job during a meeting to rule on an incident between them. Those two probably would not agree with each other that @27 is a post whore.
M’fer I haven’t even hit my stride… don’t make me be all serious and “absolutely correct” all the time… you’ll miss my jovial posting side and you know it… go take a double long lap penalty two up with your buddy Spencer and think about this and let me know if you’ve changed your mind and you wrote that they wouldn’t agree I’m a post whore… I’m sure Zarco would have my side… so you’re out frenchy… only enough room for one french fan…
I always liked him, even when he went from fast Freddie Spencer,to fat Freddie Spencer.. I worry/wonder,if he's drinking again? In the past,he had a bad run,and had cleaned up.Hopefully that's not the case here.
I always liked him, also. I think what he did in 1985 was truly incredible. I thought it was the nose candy that was the issue?
That's how I became a GP fan. My dad had a CB750 and I had liked bikes for a few years but all my attention to racing was focused on F1 and WRC. Then one day, I saw a TV interview with this guy named Freddie Spencer explaining rear-wheel steering. I was hooked on the spot and the rest is tragic history.
