No, its just that one damned bike. Unless they got a whole hell of a lot more exciting in the last few years it was boring as hell!
Oh my god.. I was yelling "shift!" as soon as the race started lol Like he was staying in first gear the whole time. I couldnt watch it any longer after the 2nd fail on the first climb.
i will never, ever... EVER get a dirt bike for mostly woods duty and/or offroad racing (harescramble, enduro,GNCC) unless it has an electric start. no way, no how if it's an mx tack only bike ? not such a big deal. ya do your moto, you come into the pits. Just my opinion !
When I bought my first 300 (deleted e-start) and found my now current 300, I thought twice about my decision as I had both bikes stripped down, money invested in both (though I lost no money after the dust settled), wondering "is it really worth it?" And yes. Yes it is. 2 stroke or not, when you're dog ass tired and you fall over, hitting that button and having it fire up is priceless.
jebus that looked like one of our dist 17 races. tree in forks. many people crash. they don't see other lines around jam ups. been there done that. that said watching with no pressure lets you see what he didn't. blue with button is the s##t.
At your age I guess you need to worry about throwing a hip out trying to kickstart a bike when tired, right?
that video was bad. in a funny way. Like does his clutch work? maybe his balance was way off from an inner ear infection or something. lol. I know I get tired after an hour or so and make dumb mistakes but shit, first minute into the race?? wow. here's video from May 2015 "racing" the 950 at Highland Park. They have a great Hare Scramble series (ok, just a spring and fall race) if anyone is in the SE or closer to GA if anyone is looking for a good beginner friendly race. Trails are pretty easy, not a ton of folks out there racing, and the course is good. I usually start at the back of the C class and slowly pick off a few riders here and there (I'm on a 450lb bike so it's not like I pass a lot of folks) and just have fun "racing" with a few other guys that bring out the big bikes to race. wide enough that passing is easy, and you'll know it when the leaders come around so you can just get out of their way. Not fast but I have a good time and it gives me something to work towards and maybe build up a bit of fitness (speaking of which....). if anyone wants to come and do the spring race, hit me up, always looking for an excuse to go ride slowly thru the woods. lol.
just finished building this, for the wife. 2012 wr450f, timbersled st (short track 120"). the fun is coming. Ski
Too cool. Looks like alot of weight, bulk that thing has to pull around. I wonder how it affects the motor in the long haul.
