I was very surprised by the size of the crowd on Main Street.

 

Joey been making chicken salad out of chicken shit for years.

Not taking anything away from his current set up but I've wondered how well he would go if he wasn't on a shoe string budget and had some proper support.

I have no actual numbers to base it off of, but the crowd this year at the track on Saturday was the biggest I can remember in recent years. There were people in the grandstands and the infield was pretty packed and the turnout for the fan walk was really good. (One of my shop teachers from high school in PA retired and moved to Florida and actually recognized me during the fan walk, which was pretty cool.) Of course, anything short of a few hundred thousand makes the grandstands look empty, but I can definitely remember working 200s and looking up and seeing the grandstands completely empty. This is the first time I can remember seeing a crowd up there. Pretty neat.

I only made it downtown before we got busy at the track on Thursday, but the turnout for that stuff always seems huge.

 

So anyone know how Johnny Rock Page finished at Daytona or did he even make the Grid.........LOLOLLOL

 

I don't remember seeing him ride in qualifying, or at the rider's meetings...

 

He was there making as big a spectacle of himself as any audience would afford him, but I never saw him on any time sheets.

 

Yea....all that press and shit talking and nothing Geez guy is a real show

 

I never saw him in the paddock.

 

The crowd in the infield was definitely the biggest I've seen it in recent years.

 

You may not have recognized him because his phone was obscuring his face while he was taking selfies.
