  1. Well then debate if a Harbor Freight one is quiet enough :)

A yard of concrete at 5” thick is 65 sq ft, so times 37 would be ~2400 sq ft

Only if placed 100 ft away from your pit area, closer to someone else.

They used a buggy for 37 yards? That's a lot of trips, very nice looking garage. That heat will be nice.

    That's the plan!
Been working non stop on this place since June. My father in law and I have done 90% of the work, I had to get some help on the roof due to the backside sheets being just over 30' long. It was too much for two people and it's windy where I live. The concrete placement was done by the same guys I used when I built my house, great guys, well choreographed on how they work.
Shop is 70'x 32', inside dimensions 69'x31', there's 2" of XPS foamboard on several feet of crushed limestone, on top of that is reflective slabshield then (7) loops 300' of 3/4" pex, I charged the pex to 40psi during the pour. The floor is ~5.5" thick, weighs approx 130,000lbs according to the concrete calculator, going to be heated from my outdoor boiler using a 75 gal commercial grade boilermate type tank with a 1.25"diameter heat coil
So far I have used 300 tons of stone on this project.

Scheduled pour for next Thursday at 10:30 am. 18 yards of 4000psi with fibers - ~$2850 dollars. 2 trucks worth.

Have 3 relatives helping so it should be enough people.....I hope.

    God help us.....

    Good luck!
I paid $188/yd for Saturday delivery, tax inc. Been some type of shortage/demand around me, where once was 2-3 days to get loads is now 3 weeks so I took what I could get.

Yea concrete companies are charging some crazy prices these days. $200 truck fee if you don't have an account, $150 delivery fee for less than minimum 4 yards, $200 Saturday delivery....a couple weeks ago I did not pay their $735 price for 1 yard of footer mix. Mixed it myself.

If you said 34 x 40 @ 5 inches 18yds (18.52 yds is the number without waste) is short. Not sure how your heights work out , could cheat a little and make it work but not if door openings and what not are tight? Also have to figure 5 to 7% waste . I'd be ordering 20 yds to be safe but that's me . Also you are in the cold ? Did you talk to the supplier about additives to help setting time ? You rented a trowel machine ? ( pattern , machine rips/cuts floor to the right seals to the left )
