Pine and shit and all wood that do not shed in winter be coniferous...shit with leaves that fall be deciduous.
i have one too. amazing how well it works. i split the big pieces like in the 1st post with a maul into 1/2. then use the wood splitter to get it into smaller pieces that are all the same size. makes a fast job and easy for stacking.
You are aware there are deciduous conifers? I think you mean softwoods/hardwoods, but even then, that rule is not a very good one. Splitting characteristics are very species and growth form dependent. As a general rule of thumb, drier is better. BB was that original stuff camphor?
How in the F@ck doesn’t everybody know this ?? WTF .. do they teach in school now days. Speed Lover should be embarrassed
Yes .. tamaracks/ Larches are an example of conifers that lose there needles , however not all deciduous trees are hardwoods .
them there needles? Hardwood/softwood is a common tree classification that generally follows angiosperms/gymnosperms; my point was neither have anything directly to do with being evergreen or not.
Now instead of rule of thumb shit we're getting into the hardwoods and softwoods where exception happens. This place never fails...just confuses he who dare question.
