Cat theft question

Fixerated.

 

This is a part that should have the VIN number stamped into it, in multiple spots. Make it illegal to recycle a CAT without a VIN number on it. Put a 7-14 day hold on payment while a VIN check is made for theft of said converter.

 

I’m still thoroughly convinced legalising shooting thieves is the answer.

 

No argument from me. Bonus points if it takes more than one shot, to extend the misery.

Newer cars have them almost on the head so they heat up almost instantly.

 

They only get hot when the bearings start going out. I had this girlfriend who said her car was making a weird noise. I had her start it and listened for a while and told her "It sounds like you've got a bad muffler bearing." She looks me square in the eye and says "Oh no, how much do they cost to replace." I shit you not.....LOL...

 

I had a hot water heater. It worked great.

I was at an RV dealer in Salem, OR and they have resorted to this electric fence system. Frigging homeless encampment near thought the dealership was a midnight shoppers delight before the fence. Stole batteries, propane tanks, generators and whatever they else they wanted.

Thefts down to zero now.

Here are a few things I have came up with. We are also installing more cameras, a tag reader at the front gate, and motion sensors. We did run the tag on a suspicious F 150 in the lot yesterday and the tag came back registered to a Malibu.

None of these things are going to stop a determined thief but all we are trying to do is buy time until the police can get here, or just make is such a pain in the arse that they move on.

 

A friend of mine had the stock seats stolen out of her civic si in Brooklyn. Apparently those were popular for a bit.
