I'm working retail at a Specialized bike shop in Atlanta (Peachtree Bikes). I haven't worked on Fridays after TDay in decades. I haven't worked retail since college. Thus I've never worked black Friday in retail. If I don't make it back, it's been fun boys.
the predator inverter is the most popular generator at race events. people run them overnight and no one complains
I cant complain about my old HF 2000 watt gen. It ran for a couple weeks straight 24 hrs a day when we got hit with the derecho. Only problem is the spark arrestor steel wool shit got plugged up.
Id think a bike shop would be dead for black friday. But then I got who would be black friday shopping in a bike shop? My guess is parents looking for kids bikes. Who are in for sticker shock when they are used to $150 bikes at walmart and specialized aint gonna have nothing like that.
Was told there were idiots in line at Maul uvv ‘Murrica at 2pm yesterday to be in line for opening…at 7am today. For a $25 gift certificate, some scratchers and a chance at getting frostbite. My Festivus shopping will happen the same way it always does. 11:59PM 12/24.
Northern tool has 5kw electric hanging garage heaters if you're in a cold garage for 99$ today My buddy has one in his 2 car garage that is basically a gym. Works well
Yeah, lots of parents looking for kids bikes today. And people shopping for themselves. Most folks in this area are very well heeled. Not a lot of drama.
I’m one of those. Snagged a Stumpjumper Evo Ltd for $3150 through the LBS. Appears to be through Specialized as it’s on their site as well. also grabbed a Beretta 92xi Corsa and a bunch of other gun/tactical stuff. all in all this was probably my most expensive Black Friday to date.
My local LBS not only has events but even steeper discounts on stuff you normally push until its broke.
