He could grab this too while he's at it. https://www.parktool.com/en-us/product/master-tool-kit-mk-16?category=Tool+Kits Do it Motion!!! Then start up group rides, advocate for trails, spend all your time dealing with cyclists bitching about your labor costs!!!
Waste of $$ . He won't use half of those tools . 1st he has to learn how to work on them, then can buy tools as needed . We I 1st started I bought their Advance Tool Kit and did not use a lot of them . Park Tool screwdrivers are garbage .
I aint gonna work on nothing. I'll throw em a tube and tell them I know nothing about pedal bikes. Which is true.
I made so much $$$ during Covid, I thought I was Daddy Warbucks . So I bought 4 of them when the price was $400 less . Sold 1 to a friend , 2 were for my shop and the other was to sell down the line . Since then, I can't find any help, so I did not need the other one and ended up selling 2 to another bike shop . Basically I paid $1500 for the lift & base
I don't see me investing into a stand like that unless the e-bikes are going out like mad. Probably gonna start with this: https://enduroeng.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=151424
It's $2400 plus $439 for the base . When you work on e-bikes, trikes & recumbents it's well worth it .
That's a fucking POS . Don't skimp on shit . If you're working on any e-bike you need a stand that's mounted to something solid and preferably a base . https://www.parktool.com/en-us/category/bench-wall-mount https://www.parktool.com/en-us/product/single-arm-professional-work-stand-prs-3-3-2?category=Shop https://www.parktool.com/en-us/product/repair-stand-base-130 Open a Quality Bike Parts & JBI account and you can get them at dealer cost .
I guess materials & labor are free in your eyes . People always bitching about buying Chinese shit, but god forbid an American made company with the best customer service and warranty are not allowed to make a profit . And dealer cost is under $200
Disagree. Do they make any of their own stuff? Pretty sure even their tools are just white labelled stuff from Bondhus, which you can get for 1/3 the price. Also what's the labor to drill 4 holes, 30 cents?
Park Tool Company is an American designer, manufacturer and marketer of bicycle tools and equipment for both professional and home bicycle mechanics. It manufactures about 4000 products. Oakdale, Minnesota, U.S.
https://www.bikeradar.com/features/heres-why-you-shouldnt-buy-the-cheapest-tools/ Bondhus, a US-based manufacturer that specialises in hex wrenches, is another company vocal on the importance of tool tolerances and material hardness. Bondhus sells under its own brand, but also produces the hex (and Torx) tools for popular American brands such as Park Tool and Snap-On.
Eh, just get a couple hunksoftwobyfour, hollow 'em out, c-clamp 'em together and mount the assembly on a fence post in the yard.
