I left Wiscinain winters behind 2 years ago and I'm never going back...in the winter. The summers are amazing though

Yeah, but it only gets up to 85 deg, it still cools off at night, and it's not dark until 9:30-10pm

    Wednesday picture during setup.
    Thursday picture during dinner.
Fantastic weekend. Only two levers broken and two popped tires on the kid's bikes.

    Gotta have spares!

One family smoked an 18lb bird in a barrel. We contributes herb crusted tenderloin. The food did not disappoint at all. Love me some desert. My oldest is right on the edge of joining the adult rides, we did one 15 mile loop that he hung tough through it all. The next day 40 mile loop we didn't bring him, but next winter I have no doubt he will be hanging with the adults. (Ten years old now)

These rides are all bikes, no side by sides. So you got to be up to finish it, and at 10 that's a bit intimidating. No one can ride you back or take you and the bike back. I'm so damn proud of him.

Ocotillo wells SVRA, California. We live in AZ but all our friends are still in that terrible place. However, the off-road space to play and ride is enormous there, with all kinds of terrain so it's a fantastic family place to let the kids learn riding skills. We love it and don't mind driving the 5 hours to visit friends and family in a place that we can have amazing family experiences. https://ohv.parks.ca.gov/?page_id=1217

85,000 acres of off road playground. Plus more that is connected but not part of the official "area". Technically we camp outside the park but ride within it, we like the quiet part of the desert we camp in where we don't have crowds flying by and our kids can explore a little more safely.

    Sounds like a great time!
Grew up doing the same with family.
Uncles and cousins that are/were incredible riders.
Raced enduros or other times just for fun rides.
I was young and intimidated just like your son.
I had uncles that wouldn't let me quit.

    Forever grateful.

If NE FL didn't get a freeze or two the skeeters, yellow flies, noseeums and biting flies would make it unlivable.
