No word on any TV time for this series, but it is one race a weekend. I also hear rumors of more purse money being added.
Didn't read the whole thread, but most of it. Didn't see this is there. I think this is video fro the Italian XR1200 series. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HINq74kflIg&feature=related
Was that last weekend with TPM? I saw an XR1200 rolling around the pits on Sunday but never got a chance to go take a look at it.

Damn it! I was all set to post that... oh well, least I didn't repost and suffer fuzzy's rath. Still cool. I know most have mixed feelings at best about the sportster class, but I still think it's cool. Having McWilliams enter the fray for a race makes it even cooler. I wish they would televise it for that round, gonna be good. <edit> Isn't Mcwilliams North Irish, not British?
According to latest Motorcyclist..... "And the backroads really are where this bike belongs, despite the race ready Showa suspension, the racy XR prefix and all those stripped-down doppelgangers competing in the new AMA Vance & Hines XR1200 spec racing series. Harley-Davidson can crow all it wants about racing heritage and race-bred performance, but the XR1200 is fundamentally a streetbike."
Still is a fun class - despite being the slowest and having the least HP, we are having a great time - Cant wait for this weekend and already making plans for the next season !
Talked to Jeremy today (our team is providing crew support for his effort) and he is pumped about racing the XR at Barber. Should be a great race. Also, link to an article by Steve Atlas on his experience racing the V&H XR1200 class at NJMP. Good read! http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/321/7989/Motorcycle-Article/Racing-the-Harley-Davidson-XR1200.aspx
