Saw a couple videos on facebook. onboard and from the stands. He was boucing off teh rev limiter before shifting into next gear. Asphaltandrubber has a little chart with his lap times and strap speeds. Laps got a lot slower and so did the trap speeds. Reports that he kept bouncing of 5th on the straights.

I wonder just how long it takes these fuckin kids to go from “Ohh my god! This is a dream come true! I can’t believe I’m getting paid to race for a factory team!!!” to the “I’m a living God, suck my balls Yamaha!!!”

sad, he’s a talented kid. People need to learn how to have some gratitude

And just think, now they actually setup the bike with a special device that makes the back end squat down like that in the rear. Yamaha was ahead of the curve back then, they just didn't implement the solution correctly.

Dude. It's an American point of view because half the time they walk people out the fucking door the moment they give that notice.

Yeah, it seems like Sweden is effectively a different universe. Give them a 6 month notice of departure, unless you're in the C-Suite they won't waste more time with you and will show you the door in a few weeks if it's not instant. Then when you try to tell the new job you'll be there in 6 months, they rescind the offer because obviously you're an idiot. Meanwhile the place you gave 6 months notice has found your replacement within a week and forgot you exist. Then you find yourself homeless living in a burnt out van down by the river jerking dudes off for spare change.

Also, giving 2 weeks is a big courtesy on your part. They certainly don't give a shit about you. If they can't survive without you with 2 weeks notice, that's tough titties on them for poor organizational skills. Not my problem.

I never understood this new push to escorting people out the door as soon as they give their notice.. and because of it , I know people now no longer give a two week notice when leaving . That can’t be good for the company to have that type of policy .

Nah. That’s just an immature way of thinking and a great way to show you cannot follow through.

There is an old saying: You begin your next phase, how you left your last.

How many times do you think Aprilia has called Mav in the past 24 hrs? He's going to find himself on the outside looking in.

That onboard vid is pretty damning, without the data.

for me it has always depended a lot in the individual. Some people’s attitudes are shit to begin with, and then they remarkably manage to get even worse after getting their new deal and they start bitching and complaining even more then before and start trying to entice other employees to also jump ship. You gotta get them out of there fast.

Other guys you’re happy to have for that last two weeks to help out while you look for someone else.

What is his rev limit set to compared to fabios? Someone should see if they turned set Mavs down 500 rpm or so

Someone who? And, at this point it matters none. The guy is on camera pulling the clutch in and trying to rev the bike to the moon.

He's just throttle tuning the rotating components into a synchronous harmony...like any Squid at BikeNight, if the engineers in his paddock would have done a better job, he wouldn't have to resort to such things.

LOL. I think you should reach out and offer to TIG happy faces on his next bike’s pistons.

because if Yamaha neutered his bike and it fucking pissed him off he’s getting dog shit. Bikes and flips out over it because he’s fed up with his bike being a bag a shit half the time.

of course I agree with you he shouldn’t do it but that’s one case I could see a rider flipping out over.

    BHP41 Calling out B.A.N. everyday

He had a great start in part one of the race. He was in P6 by the end of the first lap. Why would Yamaha, who want to win the constructors title, turn down the performance of a bike that could score solid points for them in case their lead bike has a bad day or falls? None of that makes any sense. What does make sense is that MV has a track record of being emotionally unstable.

Looking outside in I am reinforced in my opinion that Yamaha have a case of sour grapes. Deliberately releasing that video to the world to cement their position of a rider losing control. Their rider. That engine probably has no damage whatsoever but they have damaged their reputation. He humbly apologized for losing it...you threw him under the bus and ran over him. If you parted ways months ago this would have been avoided.
