Why would that be a joke? Have any of the other KRAV group members organized a race? I'd absolutely love to have Evelyn onboard. She's got decades of experience and has outlasted atleast four AMA regimes that Broome can remember. Mongo, now that's another story entirely.
And I'm talking about the 20-50 people who actually made the thing run. The partners as far as I'm concerned are irrelevant .
I'm optomistic. It can't get much worse than it is, and the people involved have a ton of motorcycle racing, and race business experience.
There is definitely a silver lining here...as in the people running the serious are AMA and world champs. Hopefully they pick race tracks during right times of the year. and have balanced rules that are affordable for all teams. and create a feeder series to the world stage. and go big...10 to 12 round series at major places. -Indy -Laguna S -circuit of americas -miller -barber -VIR -RA
If they are the 20-50 people responsible for sinking the ship, I'm sorry, but, there are consequences for failure. Just like any other acquisition or divestiture, they should be able to re-apply for their jobs and, if they were good at what they did, they should get re-hired.
Having a direct link to Moto & WSBK could improve American TV coverage discussions. I would expect the new series would have support racing rounds at Laguna, CoTA & Indy next year. Maybe some sponsorship support from some of the major teams as well.
