If it wasn't back to back with this weekend, not to mention 14 hours one way, I'd give it heavy consideration. I loved the Pitt Race experience. Seriously, for anyone that races (expert), if you subtract the cost of camping/passes and shit, the race is dirt fucking cheap. An easy schedule as far as riding, so I would definitely recommend you already know the track. But you have so much free time that you still get to enjoy the spectator aspect as well as ride on the main stage. Super cool.
Do we know if there will be any tire support at Barber (other than spec dunlops)? Or would we need to come with everything mounted up and ready?
