As a lot of you know WERA will be running a three round series with MotoAmerica at three of their events in 2017. Complete info is here (as complete as we have it) - http://maps.wera.com/pdfs/triplecrowninfo.pdf We will update the pdf file as we get more information. Pre Entry for Road Atlanta will open soon....
Pretty sure their track announcer will handle announcing duties - the video screens stuff I'm not sure on yet. Scoring feed will happen as they are handling the on track portion of that.
Looks like a typo on the Road Atlanta dates. Does the Motoamerica grid setup include staging on the grid with warmers etc. or just using the boxes?
This is really awesome. Thanks so much for putting this together. Apologies if I simply missed this elsewhere. Are you limiting entries to 39 total, and cuttting off entry after 39? Or allowing any number of riders to enter, then using qualifying to determine the 39 racers. Or is it a mix of the two; 39 entries plus qualifying within a certain threshold. I do realize qualifying determines grid position.
Our normal thing - gets me time for more laps. We'll just be using the 4 staggered spots and the lights.
I would allow a few more than 39 to enter to offset attrition but not too many - we only have one Q session and the limit is an FIM thing about the number of bikes on track so I can't put 70 bikes out there to qualify. So basically it'll be 39 entries and then we won't accept more with a slight cushion (and we'll of course tell those riders what is going on).
Pre entry is open! Event schedule is here - http://www.motoamerica.com/sites/mo...ents/2017/03/2017_road_atlanta_schedule_1.pdf
I feel like I have received conflicting information somewhere and was hoping to get clarification on this. Is this tripple crown for 600's or 1000's I thought I heard Evelin say at the riders meeting at Roebling that it was for 600 class bikes and on the schedule it is saying WERA 1000 Superbike.
