The New American Pony cars, your thoughts?

    Silo Pete We have ignition.

So what do you think of the 'new' Amercian pony cars, more to the point the 'reto' redesign of the Camero, Mustang, Challenger, etc...

What's been the reliability on these things. The Dodge Challenger RT looks badass.

I lkie the new Mustang V6. It makes around 300 horses which is more than enough for the streets and is lighter than the V8 which is overkill IMHO. Ford offers the best package of the 3 you mentionned.

Don't care much for the Camaro and the Challenger is a fat straight line turd and drinks more than an injured racer watching his buddies on the track.

I've driven them all and would consider the Mustang. It would have to be the V8.

Pete, my R/T 6-speed is rock solid. Still dead nuts reliable after 3+ years of borderline abuse.

    :)

I think that the best looking of the bunch is the Challenger. Shame it's heavy and slow compared to the Stang and the Camaro.

I think that the Camaro is too cartoonish, the damn roof looks squashed. Sitting inside one is like sitting in a bathtub with a low ceiling.

The Mustang is good looking and pretty fast, the only issue being that you see one on every street corner, no head turning.

Quick photo op with a customer's Boss 302.

If you're looking for a fun, big car, get the Challenger.

If you're looking for a fun, faster, smaller car, get the Boss.

If you're looking for an ugly, small on the inside car, get a Camaro.

    :D

    I enjoyed my `10 Mustang GT 5-speed.

Until the 18-wheeler played Pachinko with us on I-20.

The Camaro is still a chick car. :D

The Charger doesn't look as good as the Challenger but I prefer the interior of the Charger and the looks of the new Charger have started to grow on me. Both look awesome in the R/T trim.

I like the looks of the Mustangs for sure.

For me the Challenger is still the best of the pseudo-retro models.

I totally agree. For $200K I'm getting a used GT40 with plenty to spare for a Porsche 930.
