Everyone else has to leave a car width on the track for a pass. Max again feels he can just push anyone off whenever he wants, along with the weaving in the braking zone we saw in the past. For comparison, watch how Kimi races
BBC 5 Live put it in perspective. We'll never have a Villeneueve v Arnoux Dijon 79 ever again, because we won't have battles. Guy on the inside can now punt the car on the outside, who is totally level, front wheel to front wheel, rear wheel to rear wheel, and not have "battles". Imagine if Verstappen did leave a cars width room, as is written in the rules, and they went side by side down to 4. That's a battle. We just got max being max, bull in a China shop, and he gets away with it. I am not one for handing out a ton of penalties, but when it's indictaed, it's indicated. Max should have received a penalty . And for those saying "let them race".....is punting off a car that is completely level with you considered racing? Would you be cool if you were the one punted, or would you just say "let us race"? Because that is a slippery slope.
I think this week, Max dove up the inside which pushed him wide at the exit. I'm happy that he attempted the pass as it was exciting, so I'd let it slide. Last week (or whenever that was) I think Vettel intentionally veered right to cutoff Hamilton, and I think the penalty was warranted.
Perhaps (probably) not, but Max made no attempt to leave LaClerc any room at all, or even finish the corner until the Ferrari was over the strips . Just a straight force off the road. Max is a great driver, but also a complete self entitled twat.
Max had wayyyy more pace than Chuck The pass was going to happen anyway Chuck didn’t crash It was time for a Honda gimme
Both of the last 2 races were just racing incidents and neither should have been punished. Thankfully the latest wasn't.
Well, then Max didn't need to push him of the track, since he was going to pass him anyway before the end of the race.
