Talladega National/Sportsman Roll Call

Ok. A question for those in the know . With racing starting on Friday at tally , will we be able to get in the gate Thursday ? If so , wat time ?

 

I'll be there, my first WERA weekend, and my first time at Tally
I'll be getting there on Friday evening(couldn't get off work for the Friday practice). Doing the rider school on Saturday, then racing in C Super Stock and C Super Bike on Sunday. Trying to decide if I should race up a class and do B as well to get more track time. It would be nice to get more track time, but I don't want to get in to over my head on my first race weekend.

Does Tally have power? And if not can I bum off of someon's generator for my warmers if I chip in some $ or put some gas in it?

You can't do friday practice before you've done your race school (as far as i know).

Race up in B Superstock, we need more entries, you'll be fine. Its always a smaller grid than the C races, but most of us are on 600s anyway.

Power is available, but usually taken pretty quickly.

Be smart, have fun. If you are unsure about something, ask.

 

More track time is never a bad thing.

 

Ok, cool, I'll probably run B superstock as well. More track time is always a good thing, lol.

Just called them, the gate will be open on Thursday from 4pm-10pm.

 

Sadly I won't be there.

 

Saw Chris Jensen MPH this weekend at Road ATL and he wanted me to pass for people.to.give him a.shout if they will need race fuel at Tally this weekend so he brings enough.

You took off before i had a chance to bring over the video of your adventure to show you... I had to swerve to avoid debris raining down on me (kinda hard to do leaned over W.O.T....)

Just in from HQ: Bridgestone is now the spec tire for WERA. More to follow...

 

spec tire.... does that mean everyone racing in WERA will have to run Bridgestone? and if not will Dunlops still be available at the track?

 

will there be tons of them for the taking up at Tech?
