I almost quit racing after seeing him pass right in front of me. Eric is in my thoughts on a regular basis...

I saw what happened to Chris that day at Nelson, he was a very, very nice young fella and a very good racer, he went down coming out of 13 and was tumbling and he was struck by a dear friend of mine, Ray Chilson...It was a big pack of riders in a full field. The wife of another racer and another good friend, Marylou Graham, an RN, assisted the EMT's at the scene as they worked on Chris. He was due to graduate high school in just a week or so. I've always remembered that day. Godspeed, Chris...

Empty Pockets Racing where's my collar bone?

I remember the call quite well and the shock I felt in hearing how it happened.

    RIP Wes and Mike.
There's not a fall day in October that I don't think of you guys.

I was in BNCOC at Benning when that happened. I remember being in shock as I read the news there at a computer center. Still seems like it was only yesterday.
