Sad day for all. Not that it is ever a good time for someone to get killed but considering last week and all the media backlash I hope they don't continue this more with another death a week later.
RIP watching the replay was also sick to my stomach. i hope i iwll never have to see that again. just horrifying.
So very sad. Every time the camera was on him, Shoya had such a bright smile and seemingly cheerful and childlike air about him. I pulled for him every time I watched a race.
I too hope I never see a replay of that crash again. Tomizawa was one of my favorite racers in the Moto2 class. What a horrible day.
Rest in Peace 'Tomi" I am still teary eyed after watching that crash an hour ago..... I still remember watching the first race of Moto 2 and having no idea who to root for, after watching Tomizawa battle Elias i became a fan.
no it wasnt!! If you read the releases, he was being treated in the med center, and doctors were with him in the van to hospital (no chopper for reasons of something or other, the van was safer/better they said) so he was not passed yet. IMO the red flag should have INSTANTLY come out when a rider is ran over/laying lifeless almost on the track...then go attend to him THERE...dont throw on a board and run with him to the sides... not that it would have saved him but imo it was poorly taken care of. very sad.
Horrific accident. We are all deeply saddened today. RIP shoya http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2010/Shoya+Tomizawa+passes+away (Memorial Video) http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2010/Press+Conference+Race+Direction+Shoya+Tomizawa
