Moose are incredible swimmers. Camp by a big lake in moose country in Alaska and listen, often you’ll hear them in the middle of the night swimming across for a long time, like half an hour. And they weigh about as much as a horse, a bull can weigh like 1000-1500 pounds, so when you shoot one, you carry or fly out a quarter. And, they’re a member of the deer family. “Moose are the largest members of the deer family, weighing as much as 1200 pounds; they can grow to be 5 to 6.5 feet from hooves to shoulders.”

I snapped this picture today while the dogs were out taking their morning wizz. I've always been fascinated by how the dragonfly's wings look like little black flags. And how when their lighted they move their wings like they're connected to stepper motors. Pretty cool stuff.

Sorry for the grainyness. I had to zoom in a good bit because when I tried to approach the little guy would buzz away.
