No, not normal, but, you never know the situation. Very well could've been a homeowner project through and through. Or a homeowner needed bailed out. Or a crack head did the project. Or some woodworker from Boston who doesn't know the difference between a full mortise and passage lock set...
Haha! He actually first tried to have me install a full mortis passage set. He only had the lock.. I told him to get the escutcheons, screws, stem for the 1 3/4" door, set screws, knobs, and shims, he quickly moved on. Holding these people's hands gets tiring.
That is a damned lie. I have cedar decking and love it, so you take that back, right now!!! I mean it!!!!
