And just a question since I don't often come out to labor with the unwashed masses. Is it normal for the guys who did the framing to not do the decking?? Or would this be the brilliance of one person normally?

 

No, not normal, but, you never know the situation. Very well could've been a homeowner project through and through. Or a homeowner needed bailed out. Or a crack head did the project. Or some woodworker from Boston who doesn't know the difference between a full mortise and passage lock set...

 

Dude, my dad has an awesome set of tools.

 

Haha! He actually first tried to have me install a full mortis passage set. He only had the lock.. I told him to get the escutcheons, screws, stem for the 1 3/4" door, set screws, knobs, and shims, he quickly moved on. Holding these people's hands gets tiring.
