At least until the late 90s, it was thought that Soviet ejection seats had a wider performance envelope than that of Western designs.

How did we know this? Mig/Su pilots had a much higher incidence of displaying their seats' capabilities at various airshows around the world after they either ran into each other, or ran out of clearance with the ground.

I got these spiderwebbing my back pasture every 10-15 feet. I swear, the ones that line up with the sun are like 3 feet deep. We have had no measurable precipitation since 25th of May, and all but about 10 days since then have been 90+, with every day but five over the past month over 100.

We need some damn rain.

EDIT : Apologize for the hyperbole. I went out and measured a few. After a couple of 24-26" depths, I found this one. I bet I could lose this yardstick somewhere on these 5 acres, but it is too damn hot to fack around.
