100% what happened.

 

That was the one thing that impressed the most about the race, was Rossi’s consistent pace . Shame that he let MM pressured him into a mistake.

 

Today shows the last couple races were not a fluke. The yamahas are BACK. Regardles of Rossi's crash its a morale boost for all.

Indeed. Rossi has gifted 2nd place in the championship to Dovizioso, and if his teammate beats him in Valencia, Rossi will end up in 4th place for the season. In addition, Rossi ensured that Honda could sew up the Constructor's championship today. Big morale boost for everyone!

 

I kinda figured Rossi was in win-it or bin-it mode. He knew what was coming and was determined not to let it happen. Losing the rear just meant he was giving it all it had...101%. I do think the Marc might have been able to save it if in a similar predicament.

 

Rossi should have just dick-moved MM out of the way, in pure MM style. Instead, he cracked under pressure

 

It’s those old nerves, not what they used to be.

 

Rossi didn’t really crack - rear end just slid out during off throttle going into T1. Wasn’t like he tucked the front pushing too hard. Just shows how hard he and Marquez we’re pushing as Marquez was having issues at that time in the race too.

 

Yeah Rossi never cracks under pressure.
