I don't think this race proved anything about Mav. He was passed and didn't fight back. Just rode alone the entire race, although very quickly.

You would think by now there would be some kind of setup for helmets similar to the dirt bike guys goggles. So no tear -offs are thrown and they have clear shields. Also Ducati would have some kind of screen or mesh setup for the airbox inlet .

He's a couple of breaks going in his favor out of the championship lead, though.

 

So you put screens over it and then it blocks the entire screen..... No real good solution here. I would say just ban them and make the gloves have something to clean the shield with. I have personally hit one at barber and scared the living shit out of me and felt the rear on the straight just break loose. I cannot fathom what it would feel like with double the power.
