Bets on whether Iannone takes down Rossi or not? He has the pace and the motivation so I am thinking there will either be a Ducati on the top step or else pieces of Ducati spread all over the place. Looking at this year so far I am thinking yard sale...
Viñales was the most impressive in QP. Ianonne and Rossi both made their laps on a tow. Rossi's fast lap was behind Viñales and Viñales almost took it back at the end with Rossi in tow. I think the race is going to be epic!
I think you're right. He's already taken his teammate out, so taking out a championship contender is the next logical step. Bonus points if he takes out both Yamahas on the first lap. I do not expect to see a Ducati on the podium tomorrow.
As I told Doyle eearlier, the worst that could happen from taking his teammate out was being out of a job. Is enough of a hothead to think (or not) that it's worth taking a chance. If he takes Rossi out at Mugello, he needs to worry about his life. He's not going to do that. Oh, and I also said that if he takes out a Spaniard (that matters), 25,000 people will be lined up to buy him a beer tomorrow night.
Yeap, if he takes out Marques he'll get a shit load of beers. If he takes out Lorenzo, May 22 will be a national Holiday in Italy. He takes out both he'll be given a sainthood, get his picture on a stamp and Rossi, err the pope would let him kiss his ring. The Hills will be alive with the sounds of chainsaws tonight!
You are assuming that Crazy Joe thinks that far ahead. I think he has more of a Gille Villeneuve mindset. If you win every corner you will win every lap. If you win every lap you will win every race. If you win every race the championship is yours.
Gilles Villeneuve wasn't worried about a slow death. That will trigger a survival instinct Ianone never knew he had.
LOL. When that swarm of angry Italians hit him he would be shredded in microseconds. There would be no slow death...
Depends on whether the event is spontaneous or organized. Still, a public stomping will be slower than a fiery crash.
