It will be the Duc 800 monster. That air cooled 2 valver can make plenty of hp. Get the bouncers sorted out and throw on some bodywork and it will be a capable bike

I know where there's a 848 prepped and ready to race right down the street :)

There's no way that's true. Who did you speak to?

It doesn't make sense that the 848 would be legal. That would be the most dominant bike in the class. If you were going to do that, why not just make the 959 legal and make it the Ducati cup like they have in Europe?

Plus as it's been pointed out several times they don't even make that bike any more and haven't in years

I heard Buell is coming back with a 1299 and it's legal for this class.

It's now a 2.2L, though. And there's no front rotor at all. And the fuel is in the fork legs. Because revolutionary.

The Harley Road Glide with the Milwaukee 8 will dominate

    What would that accomplish?

This is a scary concept. It's pretty clear what the intent of this class is with that rule.

I was going to let it breathe all night, but then I just started feeling a little bit guilty.

Take a track like NJMP. Times on these bikes will be a few ticks under the 1:30 mark, depending on who the fast guys are. Call it a 1:30 for easy math. A 107% cutoff puts it at a :36, 110% puts it at a :39. 120% is a friggin :48. That is at the slow end of an intermediate track day group on any motorcycle.

All MA racing should utilize a 107% cutoff IMO.

This Twins class needs to aim for mods to get them to about 80hp, max.
