Payout is the same as the cars when we show up. Depending on how big the race is. Sometimes 1st is 600, then others its 450... These tracks are 1/2 mile
Shoot, if I still had a bike I'd do it! Looks pretty dang fun. I can't help but wonder how a mini like a 150r would do out there!
Each track, each event the purses have changed due to several factors including size of venue and sponsors for the race. MIS pays out the most, but this weekend you can see the payouts from SAR here: http://sas.bozpc.com/html/Ala Pro PO 2012.shtml
We might should chat... I possibly have another interested party from the area. Trying to determine what bike to use.... gsxr 1000, cbr 250r, ttr 125, F3, busa, etc.... Hmmm...how dizzy are ya after 15 laps? Got power for warmers or bring a generator? The harbor freight trailer and the vw tdi would be the ultimate fuel sipper to make this endeavor profitable! (if only I had the hitch installed and the trailer put together already!)
Power is limited (I'd bring a generator to be safe) but chances are very good you'll have free outlets to use. You don't get dizzy at all on a 1/2 mile track. Maybe if you were in a sprint car you would, you haven't seen anything do a circle fast until you've seen a sprint car do it! Motorcycles are as fast as the fastest cars out there, except the sprint cars! Every track has slightly different banking and track size and shape but the average motorcycle fastest laps are 20 to 22 seconds, but the sprints can do 12-13!! they are amazing to watch from inside the track!
For those asking, here is EXACT payout for this weekends races. This is EACH night. Motor Cycle 1 350 2 250 3 225 4 175 5 150 6 100 7 90 8 80 9 75 10 75 11 75 12 75 13 75 14 75 15 75 16 75 17 75 18 75 19 75 20 75 and those asking about power, SAS has POWER and WATER at every stall FOR FREE!!! I mean it wont run a motorhome, but warmers and a fan all night long!
No, you pay your pit fee and THATS IT. Your $40 pit fee for this weekend covers: Pit pass, race entry, power rental, and anything else associated.
The future of roadracing! As someone else already said, "NASBIKE" Is it actually fun? Does it get serious or is everyone just screwing around (somebody said they just keep it in 3rd gear)?
Looks like its only 4.5 Hours from Atlanta Nikk... I could hook up the 3 Rail MX Trailer and we could throw Max's Bike in the back of my truck...I would be up for some fun but not this weekend due to Barber...
