Which sucks, as I have started to pull for him over the past few years. But I'm enjoying watching Marquez.
Anyone remember last moto 2 race of last year. Marquez started last on grid, won the race. He will either win it or bin it tomorrow. I'm gonna call win it. He's got the lap times, the race craft, the balls, and a teenager's mentality. Regardless, he will provide a spectacular finish to his race.
^ And that Moto 2 race was impressive as hell last year. But no way does he win it tommorrow - no matter how fast his single lap was. He hasn't battled with the top dogs on the bike bikes over a race distance yet - that'll be an eye-opener for him.
No, he hasn't battled with the top dogs on the big bikes. But the reality is, there isn't very much battling going on in the big bike class. His experience in Moto 2, where close quarters battle is the name of the game, has likely prepared him very well for the big bikes and the big boys. We'll see on Sunday.
There is some very steep competition for the win, but I wouldn't put it past MM to take it. Not many others have won their maiden premier class GP, but it has been done. Biaggi did it! Lorenzo was on pole his first 3 races in MotoGP and won by the 3rd race (IIRC). should be good now matter what.
