The issue is you seem to want to point fingers at the other side without looking at your own contribution to the problem.

You and me both, dude. Politics used to be about compromise but it's so polarized now that no one is willing to give an inch.

 

In that respect, the right has much for which to be blamed. We allowed the left their freedom, which we also allowed ourselves. The problem is, the left quickly adopted it as an entitlement. Freedom isn't free. You have to have the guts to make hard choices based on facts, not feelings. Wishful thinking won't pull us out of the quagmire any more than tearing down this country's foundations. The problems being created by the leftist agenda can destroy this country.
At some point, much like when "we" spoke up by voting for Trump, the right will have had enough. We won't let the country, or the principles on which it was conceived, die. I suspect even then, the left won't see who the protectors of freedom are...and will continue being just as ignorantly asinine about the human condition.

When are people gonna learn to get a long? It's not that hard to be kind to one another. Accept people for who they are. Love them unconditionally. Egos are just out of control all over the place and people needing their 15 mins of fame on the you tube or internet. It's getting harder and harder to stay positive in such a negative world.

The right has had their day promoting the stupid:
Teaching anything other than abstinence and reducing access to contraception while crying about abortions would be a most obvious example. How is this about freedom or is freedom only on the things you want to let people do?

Here is a second example: While they scream we need to spend less, then demand that some part of a new fighter / ship / whatever be built in their state so they get a piece of the pie, even though it is more expensive to build there. Seriously, you can't build a significantly sized piece of new military hardware unless parts of it are built in at least 30 states (60 senators). Saving money doesn't matter as much as showing how many jobs you created in your state so you can get re-elected.

 

And there you go. Buy votes with jobs, buy votes with handouts.

 

Why do I need to "love" and "accept" anybody???

Why can't we just all mind our own business and leave others be? I don't have love or accept you to leave you be and you don't have to love or accept me to leave me be.
