No. I was talking about the change in structural characteristics of soil that is saturated and under water 99.99999% of the time and then no water. This is beyond tidal fluctuations.

Just saw that one of those cranes in Miamuh took a dump. Guess that answers that mystery.

 

My wife's siblings are in St. Pete. Her brother declined to evacuate his ground floor apartment in flood zone B. I hope he makes it.

 

An old Coastie friend if mine lives in Miami. He just posted a live feed while standing next to the Miami river. Looked rough but not horrible. I have inquiries to a couple friends in the Keys but have not heard from them yet.

 

Didn't need to go to hurricane school to predict that 25 cranes weren't going to make it. I hope no one got hurt.

 

West Palm nothing crazy, power going out a few times. Branches flying and a few good wind gusts. Lots of tornado warnings. A few wind gusts I thought the shutters were coming off.

Just saw a video of Sloppy Joe's...Looks like the water was about 2-3' feet deep in the bar. Probably ruined my favorite seat.
