can't recall what it was in the 90's. but we had 9/11, then the baking crisis, now this. next thing will come 2028.

every round it's removal of rights, increase in "security" and exchange of wealth.

Wish I had some liquid cash to buy oil stocks. Time to buy, buy, buy. Will it go lower? Maybe but so what. There is no way it will stay down. Saudi's are pumping like crazy to hurt Russia which in turn will price out US production as well and layoffs here will happen. This is more over supply than virus panic but the virus isn't helping.

 

On a related note, bookings for rentals this summer are thin. I've had a couple people tell me they want to come, but are waiting to see how this all pans out.

 

And that thought process could have a bigger impact on the economy than anything. COTA may get cancelled. Some school sporting events aren't allowing spectators, even parents to watch. I have a friend on the Paralympics team and he is concerned about Tokyo 2020. Another friend in the UK cancelled his holiday to the US. Didn't want go near an airport or be in a plane.

 

Everything tourist related has ground to a halt over here. It's not just you.

Sites are getting shut down. A minority for now, but it's going to go up. Tourists are canceling hotel bookings massively. Transportation is down. Restaurants. Lots of businesses already worried about survivability.
