Ooh...RJD2 "Deadringer". Not really greatest of all time, but I played the crap out of that for a few years.
Agreed. Smashing Pumpkins could open for Rush on tour and I'd hope the tour bus went over a cliff. Now Five Finger Death Punch....you want to talk about some lyrics with impact. From "Under and Over It" Do I care if you hate me? Do you wanna know the truth? C'est la vie, adios, good riddance, fuck you! From "War is the Answer" You wanna disrespect me, you little fuckin' punk? Everything I've done to be who I am, as far as I've fuckin' come. I'll slap you so fuckin' hard, it'll feel like you kissed a freight train. Fuck you! And their covers of "Bad Company" and "House of the Rising Sun"...just excellent. But, the best cover of an old song in a VERY long time, IMO is Disturbed's, "Sound of Silence". We saw them in DC at Capitol One last month..and their performance overall was excellent...but when they played SoS, it was a moment of perfection. My son and girlfriend are big Shinedown fans, so that's got me listening to them a little more lately..and they're pretty good. May 18 they're playing in Camden, NJ. On the 19th Alex has a MiniGP endurance race at NJMP..so we may make it a combined concert/MiniGP weekend.
You've got to be kidding me, Mustaine can play circles around King. Oh wait, this is a joke, nevermind.
Singing. Not playing. Mustaine's voice is akin to skewering kittens and microwaving them on low for 5 minutes at a time.
Rush has some damn good music, of course with the shit you are touting as good music its no suprise they arent your cup of tea. Much too well played, actual chord progressions and clean bocals compared to the noise you think is good music...
