We were done with that discussion when you, I believe, mentioned Uber and Lyft. After that, it's: 1. Go to Kilwins and get that apple 2. Stay out of Baltimore (It's NOT like anyone wants to see who is beating the Orioles on any given night anyway). Between the cost of the rental car and parking fees, @crashman is right that having car for a short stay will quite possibly run over $100/day.
Hey Crash, if you make it up to Bmore hit me up if you need anything. I think I have a spare flak jacket or two.
Fells point is fun (or was) and there is some great food in and around Baltimore. Crab cakes, crab pretzels, pit beef. . . You can get some of that in navy town but you need to go up to Essex (or wherever that shitty stand is that’s just off yellow brick road) to get the pit beef.
There’s another place I liked better for pit beef (can’t remember the name) but chaps pit ham is stupid awesome.
Do your wedding and get out of Annapolis. Downtown will be packed with all those happenings you mentioned, you will bang shoulder with other people. Get the car and visit some of many restaurants situated on rivers and bay itself for some good food and not download overpriced junk. Like others said stay away from Shitmore.
We are flying in to Bodymore as it is the closest airport then thinking about driving to Annapolis. I guess I could have explained it better. But thanks for the input everyone. It sounds like a rental car is a bad idea and Uber is the way to go. That is, unless @D-Zum is offering to drive us around!
If I’m available when you’re coming in, I’ll give you a ride to your hotel. Don’t think I have any Labor Day weekend plans.
If you do rent a car and want to get away from Annapolis for a few hours, drive across the bay bridge and check out the bars/restaurants on Kent Island. I'd recommend Kentmore for the sunset. First exit after the bridge, make a right and go south about 5 miles.
F that stinking bridge. Especially spring to fall and any Friday or Sunday. I have in-laws on Kent and they have to cross the bridge daily. Nothing on the other side is worth the trip, Nothing
So who was stupid enough to plan their wedding on Labor Day in a town with a bunch of other shit going on ? Sounds like a good excuse to stay home to me.
Hey! I drove through Central PA this weekend into Niagara County. Nothing but hillbillies porn and God..so settle down. I think if I remember an Uber from baltimore to annapolis is like 35 bucks.. there's enough to do up here too though. Food..Some galleries.. Nothing g you can't really get in a-town though.. I've always been able to find parking there..its very crowded on weekends.. its a 45 min drive from baltimore.
He’s coming Labor Day weekend with enough navy crap going on then throw in the yacht yuppies convention .........multiply the usual crowd X 10.
