By the time you took the back roads, you were probably better off sitting in the shit. And obviously I didn't know th back up was going to be that bad.

I know this area so it's not like I'm not familiar with some secret route. It's a lose/lose situation.

This is why Atlanta sucks.

 

Two GPS's in the cab, mine and the companies. I follow their GPS, and use mine for other info.

Tomorrow is a HAZMAT load to Pennsylvania. I have to follow their routing exactly.

Why do people blind side into a parking spot when there is 15 parking spots open where you don't have to. Just turn around, instead of making a spectacle of it and blocking the whole fucking parking lot.

 

Because they are lazy and want to be as close to the truck stop as possible.

Me, I'm lazy and want the easiest parking space possible.

Yup, i used to haul frozen pizzas out of Salina, KS. I never got a tip for fast delivery though.

You guys really have alot to learn about truckers.

We have a new building that offers free showers to the drivers and passengers. They could take a shower every 10 mins if they wanted to. Do you think any of the stinky drivers ever take advantage of this free shower? FUCK NO!

90 percent of truckers should be it's own race.

Where is this new building located?

 

Not being able to shower regularly is perhaps the biggest obstacle between me & at least a five-year stint trucking. It used to be my shitty left knee, but with automatics, that barrier is gone. I know you don't get to mosey & see the sights, but I can't help but think it would be a great way to 'see' the country & get paid for it.

 

Well, you see the country, and you get free showers if your schedule permits you to get to a truck stop where you buy fuel.

I guess that depends on how you define "regular showers".
