I agree. I like an ELD, for the logging aspect. It’s seamless.

Litigation risks are why big corporations, with their own trucks, spin off transportation into another division. They don’t want anything to affect the parent company.

 

Did you guys see the Polish driver who stopped his rig (transporting cars) inside the tunnel in Germany as a fire was starting around a wheel on the back of the trailer? CC cameras showed him walk to the back and try to put out the fire but couldn't, so he decided to drive the truck on fire the remaining 6 km to the exit of the tunnel to make it easier for the safer department.

Cars on the trailer started exploding as he was still driving. He made it to all the way out and bailed. I want to call him a hero but the word has been cheapened so much by the media, I hate to use it. But damn, nothing but respect for the man!

 

Yea you boys sure love litigation down in US. Nothing but “Jesus saves!” “Loves ahead” and “call us!” ambulance chaser billboards from PA to FL.
