Free afternoon in Denver, what to do?

Just found out I’m getting out of a conference about noon today and don’t fly out until 9:00 PM

I have a rental car.

What to do?

Wanted to visit the Airplane Museum but it’s closed for a private event.

 

Smoke pot and listen to Pink Floyd.

 

Still in the Air Force so not the best option from a career perspective!

6 hours is a lot of time and also not a ton. I’d find a place to grab a long lunch and people watch.

I liked Denver.

 

Yup...hookers and blow.

Go to the Denver zoo.

 

Get as high as a giraffe's ass.

Don't drive.

 

I went to the REI flagship store on Platte St and just browsed, but I like that kind of gear. This was after I hit the dispensary of course

 

You could do blow off of Strippers Asses all afternoon and come Monday , you could piss cleaner than Mother Teresa . Major advantage over Weed

 

Prost is great if you like German beer/food/people watching
North Table Mtn or Green Mtn are good quick hikes if you want to do that, or drive by and see Red Rocks
Shotgun Willys is the good strip club
The Gaylord by the airport might have a nice pool and a daypass if you want to stay close to your flight
Visibility and air quality suck right now

 

Too much weed smoke in the air?

Could go downtown to Rei, rent a bicycle and ride the South Platte River Trail to Cherry Creek Reservoir. Could go to Denver University and sit at the patio at Jerusalem restaurant (popular middle eastern place with the students - watch some eye candy, several restaurants around there for other fare). Go to Imperial Sportbikes - aprilia, race shop. Drive some go karts. Hit some golf balls in Centennial at Topgolf. Centennial sports center is better but I don't think they have clubs to rent. Walk around red rocks, better to cycle the area. For fast carts, shifter carts could go to IMI motorsports. Go walk around the 16th street mall, better yet go to Boulder and walk around their pedestrian mall (45 min drive from DIA along 470, nice drive down in to Boulder).
