Wonder who this 18 year old was in relation to the family. In the house with 11 year old in a closed bedroom late at night? Dad called cops at 1:00AM? Where was he in the hours the crime was being committed?

    Fishy...

In light of past threads, I have to ask.
If the 18 year old was a girl, and everything else was the same, including the beating, would you feel the same way and say the same things?

    It is not the same.

"well, what if it was an 18 year old girl?"

    It was not.

    I know it wasn't, but...
Why wouldn't it be the same?
What does gender have to do with it?
Maybe it does, but should it?
I am certain there is more than one guy on this forum who would be happy to have been the 11 year old boy with the 18 year old girl.
    I've read the threads.

11 year old boy, 18 year old girl? Well, minus the deserved beating, yeap.

Yep. The kid being molested was 11. A girl would deserve an ass whipping for doing that too.

  10. 18 year old girl, and 11 year old boy? Yep. I would be fine with her getting beat to a pulp. That's one of the few instances where I would condone beating up a girl.

How can you be so dumb in the Obama thread and so smart in this one?:D

Now we're getting points for beating up high school girls?
What sort of men are you?

I think you might be taking the devil's advocate routine a bit too far on this one.

That 18 year old man would now be under a lump of dirt in a remote field if he did that to a member of my family.

  14. It's those rose (red) tinted glasses you have on when you look at the other one.:Poke::D

  15. Nope. Beating up a child molester. Her fictitious gender is irrelevant in this instance.

Girls do it too, you know.

Keep in mind the 18 year old was also a family member, and the article said that this had been going on for several years, so, starting when the "molester" was a lot younger. Who knows what the mental age of the older kid is. This isn't a stranger thing here, it's two juveniles in the same family.
    One just aged out.

  17. Dude? I don't care if he was 15, 16, 17, or 18, the ass kicking was deserved. I'm glad he's 18 though, so he can be tried as an adult.

Child molestation is on of the few things where I believe there are no ifs, ands, buts, or maybes. That shit is dead wrong, and there is no possible excuse that can mitigate it at all.

18 year old boy, girl, he/she, whatever molesting an 11 year old gets and ass beating and then some.

An 11 year old isn't exactly a child.
I used to babysit neighbor's kids and mow lawns and clean chicken coops for money when I was that age.
I'd had a paper route for a couple of years by that age.
    This kid wasn't a baby.
    Immature, but not a baby.

Several years? So, like when the kid was 4?

Longevity of molestation does nothing to condone it. The assertion is laughable on its face, and downright offensive to those who suffered at the hands of a "trusted family member".
