Cornerspeed Riderschools/Trackdays VIR North-March 23rd & 24th

Well Thank you... see, I told you I could keep up

 

So far, May 9/10 is the only weekend I'm not at a race already. Plus I gotta work on an invite.

 

Dave...I must share.
I used to think dirt was for planting corn.
I mean, why the HE-YELL would anyone want to drive a motorcycle on the dirt when there is perfectly good, nice, black, sticky pavement available?
Then, you get out there and the bike starts sliding around and your pretty much in a panic about it.
BUT...then you learn how to control it.


...and it is damned near a spiritual experience.

Haha that's what it looks like and the one thing I know I can't safely learn on the track is sliding all around.

I'm seriously looking into it just have to figure out the logistics and schedule.

 

Would the cornerspin school be helpful for someone with an extensive motocross background? Or is it just an introduction to bike control, sliding around on the dirt or gravel, without having to do it on a sportbike?

 

It is still very helpful.
In addition to the sliding there are various discussions about chassis dynamics and weight transfer. Besides being helpful in road racing, these lessons can be applied to flat track, supermoto, even everyday street riding.

It seems like the more you learn...you realize there is more to BE learned.

Give it a try, you will NOT be disappointed.

I'll be heading up on Sunday before our days of fun and speed on Mon & Tues. If I get there early enough I am plannng on heading to the track to see what this Wera stuff is all about. How much is admission going to be? Anyone know?

supposed to be partly cloudy and mid-60's on Monday, sunny and near 70 on Tuesday!!! there are still a few spots available in each trackday group and Tuesday's Level I school...

 

I'll be there for Cornerspeed on the 23rd, along with a few other riders from the Northern VA area (DCSportbikes.net)

Will be riding a blue/black/white 2004 R6

CAN'T WAIT TO LEARN!!!!
